About UCARE

UCARE, Urticaria Centers of Reference and Excellence is a division of the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network.

The main aims of UCARE are to provide excellence in urticaria management, to increase the knowledge of urticaria by research and education, and to promote the awareness of urticaria by advocacy activities. Urticaria is a common, debilitating, and often hard to treat condition that can be challenging for both patients and treating physicians, especially when chronic.

With more than 190 member centres more than 40 countries, the UCARE network is the biggest and most active consortium of urticariologists and urticaria centres with the biggest global reach to patients affected by Urticaria and its comorbidities.

About UCARE 4U

The UCARE network is a global community of physicians treating urticara. Educating patients on their disease and helping them optimize their treatment is one of their main goals. For this reason, the UCARE 4U program was launched in 2021.

Our Aim:

  • Update patients on recent developments in urticaria
  • Help with patient understanding of causes, triggers, comorbidities, and treatment of CU
  • Help unite patients and physician efforts to improve the care of patients with CU
  • Uphold patient and physician interaction and cooperation.

Our Approach:

The UCARE 4U platform and program will provide patients with information on state-of-the-art disease management, including therapies and strategies to assess the response to treatment. The platform and program will also provide patients with information on where they can get help and establish better links to patient organizations and help to build them where they are none. Finally, the program will inform patients on ongoing research and opportunities to participate in research projects and clinical studies, to further the understanding of urticaria and its treatment.

The UCARE 4U global program and platform is coordinated by a Steering Committee. Each format is managed by a task force that is made up of physicians.
